Bringing in the Harvest

We are now out and about collecting tree seeds - nuts, berries and even helicopters. Because of last autumn's bumper crop of nuts the local grey squirrel population has dramatically increased and already they are munching their way through the Hazel nuts.

Every year it is a race against time to try and bring enough of a harvest in to allow us to propogate trees to use in following years. Seed collecting is a numbers game and the more people who are able to help the better - so if you'd like a good excuse to explore the beautiful wooded valley where we work - get in touch! info@greendragonwoods.org.uk
